Posting cadence
How often, and how regularly, a presence publishes: the rhythm readers can come to expect.
Also called: posting frequency, publishing rhythm
Posting cadence is the rhythm at which a presence publishes, for example two posts a week on the personal profile and one on the company page. It is about regularity as much as volume: a steady weekly post and a burst of ten posts followed by a silent month have the same average and very different effects on the people who follow you.
No network publishes an official ideal frequency for everyone, and claims about “the number the algorithm wants” are rarely sourced. The useful constraint is your own: the cadence worth setting is the one you can sustain for months while still writing posts you would put your name to. Starting lower and raising it is easier than the reverse.
Tracking cadence per presence also shows drift. When a company page goes quiet for three weeks because the founder was busy, it is better to see that on a calendar than to discover it later.
